Virginia, meet ‘Rona!!!!!
After six and half months in Virginia, we are on the road again and SO EXCITED!! The hubs has wanted to come and explore the Washington D.C. area for years, so we were happy to be living so close but then COVID-19 happened and everything closed down – museums, parks, tours…I suppose we’ll just have to come back this way sometime.
Nature finds a way!!!!!
Since we’ve spent the last 4 months pretty much in our rig at the RV park, walking the dogs has been the most fun we’ve had – the wildlife on the trails behind the park has been pretty cool, especially since the park is in the middle of a retail area. We’ve seen several families of groundhogs, rabbits, cardinals, bluejays and deer. The hubs video’d this deer having an afternoon snack out our back window!
Too much time on my hands!!!!
I have finished several knitting projects and others are coming along nicely. I completed the Breckenridge Knit Topper Cardigan from Mama in a Stitch. I followed directions for my size but it ended up too long for my arms so hopefully I’ll gift it to someone 😊. I played with the stitch numbers and have started another one!
LOOK! I found someone to gift it to – my friend, Gail!

No, the rig is really not big enough to get lost in, but…!!!!!
I also happened to find a knitting bag that was tucked out of sight behind my recliner and found the red Uchi cardigan by Amy Gunderson I started TWO YEARS ago! (Ed. Note – Ok, that should tell you that we have way, way too much yarn on board!!!!)I had gotten it to the point of attaching the sleeves and was having a bit of trouble getting a nice join. I got frustrated and put it in “time out” and apparently out of sight, out of mind. I pulled it out, attached the sleeves and finished the edging – it’s lovely, I’ve worn it once already and hoping that as we move further west the weather will get cool enough for me to wear it more often.
Here there be dragons, again!!!!!
I forgot to tell you where we are heading! We’re making a quick little stop in St. Peters, Missouri at the 370 Lakeside Park, then heading to Kansas to see two of our favorite children (I’ve missed them tons), on to Omaha to see our other two favorite kids (them too!) then on to Colorado. I can’t wait to see those majestic mountains and wide open blue skies!
Hope you are all doing well and taking care of yourselves and your communities – Wear A Mask and take care!

So where are you now?
We’re in Manhattan, Kansas visiting our son, Josh and daughter, Dare. So happy to see them!
Glad you finally got back to the red cardigan and completed it. The red looks beautiful on you and the stitching on the bottom is perfect. Love it.
Thank you!!
