See, I said from the beginning that the tag should read “shopping”!!!
In my last post, I showed you a picture of a new skein of yarn I purchased at the Longmont Yarn Shoppe named Crazy by Stonehedge Fiber Mill. I started a new cowl with it as soon as I got home and finished it last night!
I used Stephanie Shiman’s pattern, Spiral Eyelet Cowl. I wanted a simple but classy pattern that would show off the color changes in the yarn. This is a great pattern with instructions for a single or double-wrap cowl. It is an easy to remember pattern when worked in the round.
AND I finished it in 9 days (ED. NOTE – That may be a record!!!) – it was the only thing I worked on….as I’ve said before, I’m not a very fast knitter and that’s okay with me. (ED. NOTE – Sweaters in June is just like Christmas in July, right?!?!?!!) However, I was catching up on the Yarn Harlot‘s blog and read about her finishing TWO sweaters in 17 days….17 DAYS – TWO SWEATERS – to fit an adult, NOT TWO children sweaters! Holy Moly – she’s amazing :)!
I’ve already worn it a couple of times and it seems to go with everything. It’s crazy how much warmer I am with something around my neck! (Don’t tell my mom, I’ve been making fun of her for years because she’s always saying “My neck is cold” and has to go find a scarf!)
Hmmm, now that’s impressive!!!!!
Now, I’ve pulled my sweater back out and it’s coming along nicely! Here’s a few pictures of my “try on”. I’m loving the colors!
Love the cowl!
