I edited the wrong one!!!!
(The Editor went back to my February post, edited and published it, before realizing he was supposed to be looking at this one…sigh…sometimes good help is hard to find!) We are in the midst of spring coming in like a lion – the winds are whipping today with gusts up to 21 mph. It’s something that seems a bit strange to me but the front range gets some very strong wind gusts at times. We’re supposed to get a bit of snow also but I’m not sure it’s going to come – which is fine by me😊I’m actually ready for some warmer weather! (Ed. Note – So I’m mostly gonna sit this one out!!)
Yay!!!!!!
We’re gearing up for a couple of visits from family and a friend in April – I’m looking forward to showing them why I love Colorado! In the meantime, the knitting is going strong. I completely unraveled the oldest’s sweater. I got the body and one sleeve done but when I went to join it, the sleeve (after following the directions exactly) was 4 inches too long! I just decided I’d rather use a different pattern and started ripping it out. (Ed. Note – Sorry dude!!!) Here’s what it looks like now:
In between the unraveling – I could only do a portion a day – BUT I didn’t tie any knots to join my yarn, instead knitting with both ends for about 5 stitches, this made the ripping back SO MUCH easier! Anyway, I saw a cute pattern called the Cropped Topper from the Knit Picks website and decided to purchase the pattern and the yarn it suggested which is CotLin Reflections in Cirrus. It came in the mail last week and I alternated unraveling and knitting this top. It’s a simple yarn over lace pattern with minimal seaming that’s coming along just swimmingly! The colors are different shades of blue (my favorite color) and I’m hoping to have it ready in the next couple of weeks. It should be great for an extra layer of added warmth and softness. (Ed. Note – Priorities!!!)
I hope if your spring is also coming in like a lion, that it goes out like a lamb!
What’s good for the goose!!!!
P.S. Caught a video of these two Canada geese walking on the still iced portion of the lake – they are just a honking at my pups! Telling us to stay back, I assume. Cracked me up!
