In the midst of the Virginia shut-down, we decided to head toward the Shenandoah National Park for drive-by viewing of the beginning of Spring! It’s about an hour and half drive west along beautiful, windy, country roads. It was a lovely day!
We’ve also found the beauty of nature in our own park. I kept looking up at the trees around the park and seeing what I thought were reddish colored leaves. One day on a walk, I looked at them on a lower branch and found they were seed pods! Like a smaller, more colorful version of the helicopter seeds I used to throw into the air and watch float down as a kid. 😊 I believe they are from the red maple tree…
Everyone, take care and stay safe!!
I’m glad you are finding interesting things in your area. Sometimes we don’t appreciate what we have right in front of us. Enjoy your spring, my favorite time of the year.
